Priscilla Gathungu

Group CEO

Priscilla is the Group Chief Executive Officer at Java House Group.

Her career at Java spans through various leadership roles across the group. From the HR department as Human Resources Director for 6 years to a successful stint as Commercial Director that saw her transition into Divisional Managing Director Foodscape where she has consistently delivered value and growth for the business over the last two years.

Priscilla was appointed as Group CEO in November 2022.

Naima Hassan

Chief Operations Officer

Naima is currently the Group’s Chief Operations Officer at Java House Group with more than 15 years of cumulative experience in the hospitality industry.

She’s in charge of steering the development and implementation of the group’s operations strategy and has been instrumental in the growth of Java House from 10 branches from when she joined in 2010 to 70+ branches currently and 4 group brands: Java House, 360 Degrees Pizza, Kukito & Planet Yogurt.

Naima believes in ‘guest obsession’ which drives the motivation towards offering the best guest experiences and staying true to the Java House brand positioning statement, ‘You’re home’.

Orge Godana

Finance Director

Orge joined the Group as Finance Director in December 2021. She is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the business across the three countries in which we operate.

Orge joined the business from the KFC Franchise in East Africa where she was responsible for the establishment of the internal audit department. She subsequently transitioned into the CFO role within the same group successfully steering the Finance function of the business through the onset of the Covid pandemic.

A graduate of Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, Orge has also previously worked with Deloitte in East Africa.

Maureen Mithamo

Head of Corporate Affairs

Maureen is the Head of Corporate Affairs at Java House Group.

She is responsible for the Human Resources, Legal, Environmental Safety & Health (ESH), and Learning & Development (L&D) departments across the three countries in which we operate.
She was the Head of Legal for 8 years before transitioning to her wider role in Corporate Affairs.
She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and is a Certified Public Secretary.

Jemimah Baariu

Business Development and Strategy Manager

Jemimah is the Business Development and Strategy Manager at Java House Africa.

She is a Marketing & Communication strategist with a wealth of experience in the FMCG & Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) industry and has worked for both profit and not for profit organizations in the region.
She is responsible for steering growth initiatives within the Group to cope with the ever changing dynamics in the business environment. She also provides leadership to the Marketing Department as well as the Java Foundation.
She joined the Java Business in October 2022.
